How is a father to survive?
I'm a father of 3. I recently went to a CS RP and one of my children's mother, starting the first of January well be receiving 687.41 a month for my son. They never took into consideration that I had two other children to support with another child support order and that for an unforeseen reason I also owe back child support on this one child. I'm not a dead beat dad I do my part for all my children, school clothes, guitar lessons, dance lesson etc. but after this new order goes into effect I will be paying 1495.13 a month only leaving me with 831.00 a month to live on. In most states I'm only above the poverty level by 31.00 a month. I'm not sure what Texas poverty level is. But in order for me to survive and not go in the red it means I will have to get rid of my home and all my belongings. My job requires me to travel in which they pay for my hotels to stay in. So that means when I get my children they will have to come to my hotel and I'm sorry that is no way for children to spend time with there father. I would rather them able to come to my home where they can run and play, instead of being confined to a hotel for the weekend. So as a father I want to know what the AG has to consider in order, before they up the child support? Don't they have to consider that the father has living expenses to, or do they just not care how the father survives. As long as they get their money. So as far as rights I feel mine are being striped away as far as how I'm supposed to survive and give a better life for my children.
